My son shot this deer this evening and we found no immediate blood. We decided to back out and go back in the morning. If you look real close behind his leg, it looks like the bullet hits him. Or, it is just his skin moving as he picks up his leg to run. What do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhtL18dw1lw

Low hit in the upper leg, looks like to me. You can see his leg flopping out sideways when he wheels around.

I think he hit low maybe in the leg. It does seem to be flopping as he turns to run away.

He's hit . I saw some hair fly on the slow motion . It's right in the middle of his back , but I'm not sure where it comes from . Good luck

Sadly, I think it's an upper leg hit. Not sure it got high enough to get into the vitals. I don't think, (but hope you do), you'll find this buck. I feel sorry for your son and the buck. He's a nice buck!

I'm not so sure about the leg hit.
Looks to me like it could have hit in the pocket behind the shoulder. However at the camera angle, the shot would have been far forward in the opposite side.
No blood means nothing. What caliber and bullet load was he shooting?
You did right in backing out. One of the best moves you could have done!!!
My daughter made a less than desirable hit on her first buck and we found him. No blood or anything, other than visually marking where he left the field, and backing out quietly, and looking the next day.
Found him about 100 yards in a straight line from where he left the field. Regarldless, it took about 3 hours of searching.
Prayers for you two finding him right away. I know it tore my daughter and I up with the poor hit, but it ended up being a positive learning experience in what to do, and not do next time.

Looks to me maybe a front knee shot you'll prolly end up kill this buck in a couple of weeks limping around. Hope I'm wrong and you find him just didn't look like a fatal hit

My guess is he finds the deer. Looks like a low shoulder hit to me. Hard to say though. 
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...

I believe you will find him. I think it is high in the leg, and should have torn up a shoulder. Good luck!

I looked at it alot a times and I'm thinking it's a brisket/leg shot. Maybe find it, but it's gonna have to bleed out. He ain't hit in the vitals I don't think.

I agree with BOFF. I think this is a good hit. Pretty confident you'll find him based on the impact area as well as the damage it looks like was done to the shoulder. We're looking for a full report....

Def hit the front leg. Watch the slow motion part and you can see the strange bend then it flop as he is turning and running.

Looked like it hit just above the knee joint to me. Honestly, I think you will be wasting your time looking for this deer.

My guess is that it was hit on the lower, left side of the shoulder. If bullet didn't get to vitals, bone should have. (Hope not a ballistic tip)

Was the camera well below the gun when he shot? I didn't see any of the ragweed move that is in front of the deer.

I think he missed him. He just doesn't look "hit" anywhere to me. Its tricky business sometimes though, I hope you prove me wrong! EDIT: I just watched this on a work computer(don't tell anyone) instead of just my IPhone. He did hit him, low right side but I don't know if it was high enough to catch the chest. Bigger monitors make a difference when viewing this stuff

I tried to watch it frame by frame & I would say it hit high on his right leg, he didn't lift it up like that, the bullet broke it and passed right under the brisket. He'll find a mud hole to lay in, hope he heals up.
