We do not do Black Friday as a ritual. The only exception is if there is one particular item that we were planning on getting and it happens to be extremely reduced in price...then and only them will we go for that 1 single item. That rarely happens.
For us now, Thursday and Friday is a time to be off work and spend time together with family. We used to be in there with the crowds before we had children, but now it is just not worth the hassle and troubles. My wife really dislikes all the crowds and hectic nature. I'm blessed beyond measure.
