I have an Orignal 60's-70's Remington BDl 6mm with a Varmint Bull Barrell. I would like to sell or trade for another remington 700 in preferably 7mm Rem Mag but shoot me a pm for other trades! Very nice old 700 with the aluminum butt plate - what Remington makes now is junk compared to that rifle.

Pass on the 300, too much gun for me, thanks though A 7mm is a belted magnum so its probably a little worse on the recoil end lol nice rifle anyway ill have to see if i can come up with a 7mm somewhere

Actually rifle weights be equal, a 7mm rem mag produces 21lbs of felt recoil while a 300 win mag produces 24 lbs. For comparison a .270 has 17 lbs.

However, in my opinion, the CDL in wood with blued barrel is a sweet gun and in no way a piece of junk. Never been a fan of synthetics or stainless barrels. I'm old school. Dr. B

Dr. B I'd be interested in giving cash for a 6mm. I've also got a RUGER BLACKHAWK in .41 MAG (excellent condition) plus some cash to make up any difference. I've got a BDL that I've been using since the early 80s in .270 LH that I put a new scope a few years ago. Bought my son and daughter a CDL in .270 LH and .243 respectively. Just got a scope for my son's rifle as he started with the .243.

Id be interested in ur BDl if it was RH. But no thanks on the blackhawk if i do sell i will have to get all instead of a partial trade so i can replace it. But thanks!

BDL are the highest quality out of the 700. Really the main difference is the finish on the wood is a gloss on the BDL and the CDL is just a regular finish.

I've got a beautiful 700 BDL in a 270 that my dad gave me years ago. I hunted with it for years, killed a ton of deer with it and kept it beautiful but never new if it was a BDL or CDL. Thanks man.

I have to disagree. The CDL has a Satin finish with no glare and I don't know about all of them, but all of mine have drop box magazines. Sleek straight stock and fit and feel better than the BLD. But this is just IMO
