Holy crap, those are some expensive watches. I always wore timex or casio watches, until my grandmother gave me my late grandfathers seiko railroad approved watch, I put a nylon band on it and I'm good to go. I can by a bunch of timex watches and a new gun for the price of some of the watches yall are talking about.

I've used both the Suunto & Casio. I liked the Suunto well enough. Keep the bug juice away from it though. They may have fixed that issue but the 09-10 version did not hold up well to the insect repellant. Then again maybe that was a sign that maybe I should just suffer the insects over something that eats the plastic off a watch.

maybe I should just suffer the insects over something that eats the plastic off a watch. Ahh, Military grade insect repellent. It doesn't repel the bugs, it just makes your skin so damn tough they can't bite through it.

I've had two Tags, 4-5 Timex Ironmans, countless others and one Rolex and the Tags were by FAR the biggest pieces of junk I ever owned. I'll take a $65 Timex Expedition any day.
Matter of fact, that reminds me I meant to scrap the gold on the Tag band and throw the rest away.
not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

I'm partial to Seiko or Tag That's like saying I'm partial to a yugo or BMW. Seiko was quality 25 years ago but their watches today are cheaply made Chinese junk. I'd buy a Seiko over a Tag.

I'm somehow very hard on watches. They just break on me or I either misplace them. So after I ruined a few very nice watches, I switched to cheap watches. They ruined just as easily as the nice ones.
Today, I do not wear a watch at all. No need for it in my line of work as I can easily check my phone. I have an older Timex Ironman that survived somehow that I use when backpacking, rafting or on scout functions when my cell phone is turned off and in my bag.
