Just shot the cross, almost no recoil. Its a very good feeling rifle. Still dont have can, and haven't sighted in. Just mounted scope, and shot a few to see how it feels. Think im gonna be happy with it, if it groups. Ill let yall know! If you shot factory ammo, what velocity did you get compared to what was posted on the box?

Idk, we mounted scope and bore sighted and i shot it twice off my porch, my buddy shot it twice. I got the hornady in 175 eldx , and some partion accubonds. Gonna start with those and see which group better. Guy at store said it was only taking a day or two to get can appoved. Today is fifth day, and i haven't got an email. Not sure whats up.with that. But when i sight it in ill see if i can chrono it, with and without suppressor, and let you know

They started off around the 3000 fps mark when it first came out. Have been hearing since it’s around 2800 fps. Maybe they’ve come back up.

Rumor is the powder they use to get the higher velocity is used by the military. And do to recent events in Ukraine and iraq, they cant get it for civilian use. Dont know if thats true or not, but thats what i have seen.

Shot the hornady 175 eldx. Advertised at 3000fps. We got one at 2990 and one was over 2900. Storm hit us and we had to quit. But i was impressed. Still have the nosler to try. Never did get it dialed in.but that was on me, trying to hurry before rain

I built a 7 PRC on a Howa 1500 action. It's a 22" barrel and I shoot suppressed.
Factory Hornady 175 ELDX ammo shot about 2930 FPS from my gun.
My reloads with N560 powder, Hornady 175 ELDX bullet, with Hornady brass shooting a ladder test I had velocities from 2940-3060. I worked those loads up in Gordon's Reloading Tool and my brass showed no pressure signs. I'm probably going to choose the lower charges for my loads.
While Hornady factory ammo isn't living up to their advertised velocities because they had to switch the powder they use you can absolutely get max performance using N560, N565, N570 powder.

Federal with the 175eldx was as advertised. Seems like 3005fps avg.
