I use plain rice bran, only problem is they won't leave it alone. They will consume 50 lbs in about 2 days so clean all u can see is bare dirt. Put some out last year in a spot that had never had rice bran or a corn feeder and put a camera on it. Within 2 hours deer were on it like a swarm of bees. 8 different bucks, 3 were fully mature, one was 130 in, grandson killed him right after Christmas and another that was about 140. Neighbor killed him early in the gun season. The bucks were on the bran pile in broad daylight morning and midday to early afternoon. Wishing I could find a timed bran feeder that worked
