My son has lost the lease he had in Southern Illinois due to the land selling and all being cleared for row crops. We are both looking for a lease that would be ideal for a father/son. I enjoy the trip and have a great time while he hunts. I have trouble with the temps when they get down in the single digits so I hang around the camp area and just relax. I realize this season is basically a long shot but if anyone needs another hunter to help secure a lease, or knows of a tract available for leasing, get back with me. I sure would appreciate the help. I love that area and love spending time with him when we can.

What area you looking at?

We had a lease in Geiger, which was in Southern, Illinois. We love this area and it was a fairly short trip taking only a 5 hour drive. The land we leased has all been converted to row crop land. There was some great deer on that tract. The farther north you go the higher the lease costs. If you ever see some of the deer from IL, you will be ruined for life. I have trouble with frigid temps and don’t get out on some of the best days. We are just looking for a father and son lease we could hunt when our schedules allowed it. I currently work M-Th and he announces rodeos on Th-Sunday. We always had very limited pressure on the tract we had. We own several hunting tracts in AL and in TN, but the quality of deer from IL is just incredible.
