Today is the day that I try a few loads. I had a few once fired cases but need a few more. So, I adjusted my micro cut-off saw to cut the .223 cases about .030 longer before running them through the die to size and form. I found a couple of boxes of 180gr Hornady bullets tat I forgot tat I had so I'll load a few of these to go with the 220gr already loaded.

Wiley, are you gonna hunt with the subs this year? Thinking of trying mine on a few hunts. I've got access to a really nice little 40 acre parcel and would like to maintain a low signature there.

If I hunt at all I may use it. I haven't hunted in 3 seasons now but kinda getting the hankering to go a couple of times. I have one plot here on my place that has a max range of about 75 yards and that would be perfect for this setup.

Thank you, Sir. I didn't get to shoot today and will not be able to until later in the week. I did manage to make some cases from once fired .223 R-P cases, ran them through my die, trimmed to 1.356, primed, loaded with 220gr and 180gr Hornady bullets over 5 different charges of IMR 4227. Very much looking forward to testing these and seeing what velocity I'm getting.

Sunday I made it to my range with several rounds with 220 and 180 grain bullets loaded over 8.7 to 10 grains of 4227. My biggest concern was that the bullets stabilized and didn't keyhole the target. The 10" barrel is and 8 twist and every round fired made a perfectly round hole in the target at the 25 yards starting point. Velocities were from 887 on the low end to 1039fps max. Accuracy at 25 yards was almost one ragged hole and at 100 yards they opened up to about 3". I'm really satisfied with the progress so far. The powder burns clean, cycled the action with every shot and locked the bolt back on the last shot of the pistol action. The suppressor does a wonderful job that translates into a noisy clacking of the bolt. Last night I ordered some Hornady Sub X 190gr bullets since I doubt that bullets that I've been using will open up much, if any, at low velocities. Today I will cut more .223 brass and convert it to 300BLK, prep it and be ready to load when the new projectiles arrive.
