Loves in Shorter off 85 on 9/15/26 at 1115, $6.52 for diesel
That location is now closer to $7 than it is to $6 We get it, diesel is higher than giraffe you-know-what. But posting Love’s prices over and over proves you’re gaslighting at this point. Love’s is generally the highest priced fuel in my area. On today’s commute to work, Love’s was $6.19, and the Speedway across the highway was $5.69. Again, we all understand that diesel is up. What we don’t understand is what you guys that keep posting it want us to do about it. If you’re just pointing out that diesel is up and Love’s price is the highest, we all saw that already. No kidding ; 13 pages of the same chit. Like nobody else has the internet or Google. Quit looking at it How else am I going to keep up with diesel prices?? But, that’s the smartest post in a month

Got a new set of tires for my truck today. Cost me $1304. Two years ago I purchased the same tires from the same shop for $1020. I think orange man got the "make american great again" button andthe "make america poor again " button mixed up. Just tire companies taking advantage of the situation to raise their prices. Oil’s up gotta raise prices. Oil price craters, no price drop. There was no decrease in tire prices when oil prices started dropping out in 2025. No price drops during Trumps first term when oil price actually went negative. Prices increase anytime there’s a convenient excuse, but never decrease, even when warranted. There is rarely ever a decrease in any product price after the inflationary event has past.

So why does anyone with a brain, think that Trump can miraculously make prices decrease across the board. Never happens and never will, short of a very serious prolonged recession or depression. Trumps definitely done stuff that has not helped current inflation, but anyone that thought Trump was going to be able to magically lower prices across the board on consumer goods was an IDOT.

Well I guess I'm an idiot for complaining about a 30% increase in the price of my preferred tire during trumps second term. There was a price increase of $174 from 2020-2024.

Stuff like this aint helping. They say it will be next week before this refinery comes back online. The big smoke and fire is actually a safety valve for flare off if the power goes out. To be fair, the cost of diesel actually affects dang near every consumable product, so even if he doesn't drive anything that uses diesel, the increased cost is still passed on to ALL of us. Some are just fortunate enough to be older and have been able to save more (back when the dollar bought more) for such a time as this. The venting on here about whatever issue doesn't bother me. I usually read all the initial posts in a thread, but if it doesn't interest me I just skip it. I would much rather have folks venting on here about stuff than bottling that shit up because that never leads to a good place.

I'm sure the Ukrainian war strategists are taking his suggestion into consideration.  “Ukrainian drones have just struck Russia's Syzran oil refinery, with multiple fires burning across the complex, hours after Trump claimed on Truth Social that Ukraine had agreed not to hit Russian energy targets, that Russia had agreed likewise, and that the world's diesel price rise "is mostly caused by the Russia/Ukraine War, not Iran." Syzran runs about 170,000 barrels per day, roughly 3% of Russia's refining capacity. US diesel hit a record $6.23 a gallon today.”

A UAE owned super-tanker tried to run the strait and hit Iranian mines. The entire ship is lost and is apparently still burning. Straits still closed. Its probably a big mess.

I found it. He made several comments when complaining about Zelensky and Ukraine bombing Russian refineries. Trump didnt understand that Diesel, Unleaded, Jet Fuel, etc... are all produced at the same refineries through the various processes of breaking down crude oil. He thinks they can pick and choose which parts of refineries to blow up. He didn't say that Republicans dont use Diesel, that was taken out of context. Refineries take individual units offline all the time. Now, saying that, it would take precise bombing to do it, but with technology today, not out of the realm of possibility at all. Matter of fact, Ukraine has shown an acute ability to strike wherever they want with drones. Is that what they're doing? I have no idea. Just saying it's very possible. Does Trump know that? Probably not...but maybe. As for AU7MM08's posts, the most I get out of them is that apparently Auburn has the highest diesel in the entire state.
