Shoulda had a couple more. I whiffed on a couple of, what I thought, were easy shots. The kind where you stand there dumbfounded, that a duck didn’t fall!

Congrats! We didn’t see many, but managed to squeeze out a few. And had a dang good meal of steaks, teal, and dove while watching football Saturday evening. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/bJFFBCPD/IMG-1514.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/Gt8SwF3f/IMG-1523.jpg)

I heard some shots before I left for work this morning. Saw a few trucks at the boat ramp.
Last time I teal hunted was right before and after hurricane sally.
Shot a few each time so I'll hang my hat on that for a while.
Big duck season is a different story...

Teal are a lot of fun when they are around. They decoy well and respond to spinners and calling. They are very challenging to shoot. The only problem is they are very unpredictable. The season may hit the migration perfectly or miss the majority of the flight. Can't kill them when they are in Canada or South America. As few as we harvest the season should last all of September.
Thanks for sharing your hunts!!!

I’ve seen it rain tesl a time or two, when I was much younger and duck hunted a lot. They’d come in flying in a tight bunch. You’d empty the guns. And almost nothing kept flying.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”
