Ditto. I like what I hear and read about the 7mmPRC , don't have one though. I have a 7mm WSM , Stainless A Bolt I'm mighty fond of , it's bad medicine on Elk .

7 WSM and 7 PRC are basically twins ballistic wise.

The 7WSM just never got traction though. I still don't understand why people went nuts over the 270 and 300 WSM when the 7mm was the superior of the three. I'm a big fan of the 7mm-08 also, great caliber on a great case .
The WSM and SAUM cartridges were fast out of the gate but quickly faded because the manufacturers essentially stopped supporting them. The reason for that is that Winchester and Remington stole the idea from Rick Jamison who sued them and won. The court required them to pay a lump sum and royalties to Jamison which they did not like.

Rick was editor of Shooting Times and was essentially blackballed from the industry after his court victory.

The WSM was the the more popular line of cartridges, but i don't know of any factory rifles being offered in the WSM at this time. The SAUM cartridges have been kept going due to competitive shooters and custom rifles. I prefer the SAUM case design over the WSM case.

I’ve got a 7 SAUM in a Remington Model Seven SS and love that rifle. I shot my first elk with it. If I’m lucky enough to ever kill another elk, it’ll be with a 6 Creedmoor or 6.5 Creedmoor.
