I love the .284 caliber. I shot a 7 mag for a few years when I was younger. It was a sure nuff killer. It was a Browning BLR and is packed a pretty good punch when you squeezed the trigger. As I got older I got away from the heavier recoil and now I shoot the 7-08 more than anything else. If I was to step up to a heavier cartridge it would definitely e the 7PRC.
Ditto. I like what I hear and read about the 7mmPRC , don't have one though. I have a 7mm WSM , Stainless A Bolt I'm mighty fond of , it's bad medicine on Elk .
7 WSM and 7 PRC are basically twins ballistic wise.
The 7WSM just never got traction though. I still don't understand why people went nuts over the 270 and 300 WSM when the 7mm was the superior of the three. I'm a big fan of the 7mm-08 also, great caliber on a great case .
