Look, we're not saying you have to be specific about what you want to trade. There's a lot of stuff out there that I might would take on trade that I wouldn't have thought of if it had not been offered. At least state a "value" of what you are offering and don't be as clear as mud on the description.

You are correct, it is not your post we were talking about and my comments were directed more at BLR than anyone else, especially after some of the vulgarity he used in his rant in a message that was sent to another moderator. I tried to be nice in my explanation of why we would like things the way we stated but apparently that's not how some folks want to be. It's not about power or anything of the sort. In my years of moderating on here I have edited or deleted less than 10 posts on this entire board. Anyone on here that knows me personally knows I'm not "that guy".
1. It doesn't matter if you care if I'm a moderator or not. The moderators and owners of this site make the rules and that's just the way it's going to be. Just so you know, rules aren't just made on a whim. Any change that is made is discussed among moderators and receives the blessings of the owners. Nobody is on a power trip here.
2. Yes, the first post is silly but I wouldn't call it ignorant. Hoggin is hitting on something that has been a problem for quite a while and should have been addressed before now. And no, I don't know Hoggin nor have I ever met the man so it's not about just doing something for a buddy.
3.The statement that pertained to how long someone had been on here was directed toward BLR as well. He had been a member for a whole 2 months and was already telling us how to run this place. It would be akin to you working a job as a manager for several years and then some guy that was hired 2 months ago walks up, talks to you in a vulgar manner, and tells you how you are going to start doing your job. You wouldn't like it any more than we did. As far as the points go, it's about number of posts but I can assure you it has nothing to do with how I personally treat someone. I don't care about how much you say, I care about what you say and how you say it. I look at someone's character and nothing more.
Now, if you want to keep participating in the forum, please do. We WANT you to, we really do, but we are going to moderate how we see fit. Jerry
