Again...look deeper. They were under sanctions from probation in those years, and had to scrape the bottom of the barrel in hiring Matt Luke as coach.

But hey...it's easier to just look at the records, right?

They lost 13 scholarships spread out over a 4 year period.........Point is Kiffin took a bad team with minimal resources and made them a Championship contender.....Y'all can hate on him all you want but it isnt gonna change the outcome of what is about to unfold at LSU.....Like has already been said.....He'll win a championship in the next 3 years....book it.

Injecting FACTS into the conversation isn't "hating on Kiffin".

As I said, I'm not saying that he won't win big at LSU...I'm just stating a FACT that Ole Miss' schedule wasn't exactly murderer's row in the years you're pimping.

Outside of beating UGA and losing at home to an absolutely horrible Kentucky and very average UF team in 2024, Kiffin still simply beat the teams he was supposed to beat, and lost to the teams he was supposed to lose to.

We're still waiting on the "book it...Milroe will win the Heisman" to happen.

There is brilliance in a lot of Kiffin's coaching, but there is always the potential for it to absolutely blow up due to decisions he makes on or off the field.

The Guy (Kiffin) takes way to many chances and gambles on 4th down way to much. Remember the “Get your popcorn ready” Kiffin said and then went out on the field and tried a few very questionable go for it on 4th down decisions against Alabama. As a Bama fan I was happy about the decision’s but it was in fact just not smart. Ole Miss had a chance to stay in the game but their HC Kiffin took that away by gambling.

Seems like I remember a game against Auburn where he cost Ole Miss the win by going for it on 4th down in full retard situations over and over.

I will NEVER forgive Kiffin for costing us the natty in 2016 because he couldn't control himself the week before the NC game.

I'm not an LSU fan by no means, just an outsider looking in.

Thats why they started putting in roster limits. Bear would get the best talent out there with scholarships and load the bench just to keep those guys from going to other schools. Some really great players didnt get much playing time because of it. However, back then getting a free ride to college was more important than playing football.

This is exactly correct. I lived through it. He would recruit as many quarterbacks as possible, because in most cases back then the quarterback was the most talented and gutsy player on a typical high school team. Once he got them all he would turn most of them into tight ends, defensive backs, receivers, running backs, etc... and only a few would get a chance to play quarterback at Alabama. Of course with the wishbone, the quarterback was a glorified running back anyway.

Explain please how enforcing the league rules, that LSU voted on and approved as well as every other team in the league, is being an ass?

LSU is talented and Freshwater is a good coach on the field so they may win the NC title but the question you have to ask is it going to be worth it in exchange for all the future head and heartaches that will be coming down the pike because everywhere he has been a HC, Joey has left the school reeling and hating him?

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I agree; Sankey is the smartest man in college football. IMO
