What tequila you guys drinking on the rocks and gold or silver, I think this thread was to help us slow down, but has me wanting to expand my knowledge!
I have tried a lot, (for research purposes only you understand), and I have come back full circle to Jose Cuervo Gold. i know it's not 100% agave, but it simply tastes better. I have tried many 100% agave tequilas, most more expensive and all of them seem to have this slight "bug juice" taste that I just can't get around. You know what I'm talking about... Like when you were a kid and your Momma sprayed you down with bug juice and some of it accidentally got in your mouth. That taste.
Do a blind taste test with Jose Cuervo Gold and some other anejo tequilas, you are going to have to spend a fair amount of money to get a tequila that taste better than Jose Cuervo. Cool thing is I can ride a few minutes over to the Winn Dixie Liquor store in Florida and pick it up for $13 a bottle.
I drink it straight up on the rocks.
