That stuff gets sticky and all over you if you got hack through a bunch of it. Its kind of like creosote and extra soap is required to get it all off of you.

I hate chicken but like fennel as a seasoning on popcorn.

I'm highly allergic to it. I have to eat a couple of antihistamines before I get on the tractor or I'm boogered slap up.

You implied the reason he has dog fennel is because he’s applying nitrogen
Dog fennel is everywhere, it’s not “nitrogen dependent “
So yeah, I understand you’re FOS. But I’ve known that for years

I've seen dog fennel grow on the most eroded hilltops you can imagine. I even named an archaeological site Dog Fennel Hill cause it was head high and thick on top of an eroded hill top. Its a pretty nice site in Russel County that dated to about 9500 years ago, but the damn dog fennel made it miserable to do the work on top of it.

Being it is native and has an extremely fast growth rate, I could see how a nitro rich bed could boost it, even though it's not required for it to establish. This stand is 8 and 9 feet high. Tallest I've ever seen it grow.

"Dogfennel is remarkably adept at thriving in environments where other desirable plants starve. While healthy forage grasses (like bahiagrass or bermudagrass) require adequate nitrogen to grow densely and choke out competitors, dogfennel easily colonizes nitrogen-poor, acidic, or depleted soils. Once established, dogfennel behaves as an aggressive nutrient thief. It robs the surrounding soil of whatever nitrogen, water, and other nutrients remain, causing up to a 74% reduction in pasture yields if left unchecked"

A thread on summer cedar that turns into grown men calling names with political overtones and chest thumping........only on Aldeer.

Please, no one start a thread on Kudzu. If summer cedar devolves into this, kudzu will cause shootings and blood shed.

Kudzu is climbing up that summer cedar in places. I'm not even joking.
