You know, after looking into the "fair use" thing it seems that one might reject the "I'm going to sue you for every time you post my picture of me laying down with a very good friend on top of a small dead dear" certified letters by doing 2 or three things. My reasearch shows that in general all you need to do is:
1: Give credit to the individual(s) responsible for the image by acknowledging them in the post as the copyright owner.
2: Transform the original image enough as to not use an "original copy" for critiquing purposes only.
3: Section 107 of the Copyright Act states:
the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.

In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;

the nature of the copyrighted work; the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.

Now one must wonder just how much value this work of art would be valued at. One person may feel it is worth a considerable sum while others would not consider it so.

In my imho I do not feel this picture is worth the pixels it took to create it, but that is my opinion and may not reflect the opinions of others on this site. If I received a letter demanding payment for a non-valuable photograph (who has evaulated and placed a monetary value other then this tard in the first place?) and have stated on this thread to this effect, I would go ahead and send him 1 letter and or an email in the a cease and desist format. If he continues to neither laugh with us in context nor get with the program that his letters mean nothing and that his strangely masculine sister trying to use her stature as a lawyer (illegally across state lines no less) to add some form of legality to his endeavours will not make a difference on the subject leads me to make the following conclusing.

I would continue to enjoy the jovial atmosphere of this post to it's fullest extent. If I had one of his emails, letters or other forms of communication, I would take it and start a nice warm fire that the family could enjoy. Then I would spend a nice evening thinking of the opening day of black powder season and the enjoyment of being in God's great outdoors being thankful to God that I was able to be there and share the experience with my Aldeer brothers!

Or, on the other hand I might just tell him to go EFF himself...make the fire and have a beer.
