The US average Diesel price today is just 3 cents under the all time high set by Biden. The big difference is that Biden was a single day short lived spike. This time we are seeing sustained high prices that are looking like it will last significantly longer. California Diesel is around $7.60 today but the rest of the country is about $5.50 to $6.00 . Our lower state taxes and proximity to refineries is whats keeping our prices a little lower. Different though is that the regular unleaded gas price is being contained through SPR reserve releases.
