I didn’t read all 5 pages, so I’m sure this has already been mentioned, but it’s a global issue with most of the developed world having rates at levels not seen since right before the global financial crisis…. Yup. Other countries are also dumping UST's at rates that haven't been seen since 2007.

Yup countries are also dumping UST's at rates that haven't been seen since 2007. Most, like China and Japan are dumping to help stabilize/strengthen their own economies. Japan as an example, has had to raise their own bond rates to the point where they are shifting their holdings back domestically due to being able to get higher yields on their own Japanese bonds. Believe it or not, most of the rest of the world has major economic problems far exceeding those in the US, and are in a whole lot more trouble than the US. They are bringing their money home, by offering higher yields than other countries.

World should’ve gone into a global depression during Covid, but every country in the world threw money at their problems to avoid that happening, which led to inflation and massive currency devaluation worldwide. Trumps foray into Iran is certainly not helping things in the least. The world is now having to pay the price for its actions during and after covid, and that is the root problem/cause behind why things are the way they currently are. Fast and loose monetary policy comes at a heavy cost. Iran was just a little more gas on an already out of control and completely uncontained fire that should’ve been allowed to burn itself out 5 yrs ago.

Just saw that this morning 😂. I just saw the same thing Going to try Buc-ee’s in a few Bucees in Mississippi was $5.29 last week. Cheapest I saw on the way home was at the 38 in Mississippi. Diesel was $5.09.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

That Pilot is absolutely on the high side of things, that said the semi truck parking was very full so best believe they’re selling diesel at $6.05

I'm seeing $4.99-$5.19/gallon for diesel down here along the coast. I also downloaded the Chevron app that gives you $1.00 off per gallon for the first 5 fills. After that I use various other station apps to get .05-.10 off per gallon and also use Upside to get cash back.
Either way, I need it and gotta buy it.

Back when BIL drove some he had a membership and it gave 35-45 cents off per gallon and that it was when diesel was around 3.50 or so so. It basically matched other operations I’ll say traveling down 30 miles of hwy 72 diesel prices range 5.09 to 5.49 so tell me it’s normal pricing. Haven’t been by Loves but I’d imagine it’s over $6

If trends continue as they are, we will likely see $7 diesel in Alabama and 7% 30yr conventional owner occupied mortgages
Those two should make for a super prosperous 2027.
We will see what 12/31/26 looks like.
