We keep bees. Once you know what you are doing it to pretty easy and self sustainable. I’m not sure where the line is but at some point you have enough hives to make it easy. At some point you have to few to make it easy. And you can have more hives than you can handle and that can make it hard. Our bees cover all of their expenses, which includes mite control, equipment replacement and repair, lost colonies, all honey related expenses. Plus we end up with money left over. I could give you other peoples experiences that are not like ours, and others that are more successful than we are.
