I got to go with a buddy of mine who got leftover tags in the SE zone. We managed to get a 4’ gator to fill his under 6’ tag. He got one a hair over 6’ the following weekend. It was a ton of fun but there’s a reason that zone has leftover tags. Not easy to fill tags on public water down there. I’m sure folks local to the area probably have a better shot at the larger ones. We got on one that was 8+ but he gave us the slip. Skinny water, tons of dead fall, plenty of current, and real spooky gators. But fun none the less.
