Helped Neighbor cut his hay yesterday, doe jumped up 10 yards from me and went 50 yards and stopped. I knew she had some babies around there, so got off the tractor and found the twins. Smallest I’ve ever seen, size of Chihuahua dog I’d say. I picked them up and carried them about 50 yards and sat em back down at the edge of the wood line. Doe had ran off, but seen where I’d sat em down at. They ran into weeds and laid back down. Bout hour or so later, she came back looking for them, found em and went on about her business, thought it was pretty neat to see it happen. I’ve moved a bunch of fawn out of fields and pastures over the years, but no momma been with em in the past, they was older. I guess I should say, I’ve ran off a lot of fawns over the years. They’ve all been big enough to run, not these. Very tiny for what they was. Neighbor jumped 2 hisself, they was bigger and ran off on their own. All bedded in johnson grass, which lot of shade down in it too.
