They should be deleted. This wasn't ebay 7 years ago when I joined and it isn't ebay now that you JUST joined. Just joined? What the heck are we joining here? People read on here all the time without joining. Top Secret Hand Shake coming soon for people who JOIN Yeah I know. They read it and don't post. You should try it. If you don't like how the guys run this site. ( Dang fine job). Then stop coming. If they made a rule that you had to state all your personal info before each post, I would make a decision. I would either do it or get off. I think you have a decision to make.

Let me root around my garage to see if I have something worthy to trade. Once I find it I'll let you know that I have something, but won't tell you what it is or what it's worth. You'll just have to accept the deal.
Oh, and you can't whine either if you don't like it, because supposedly Vets get special treatment on here.

I have a feeling that very soon all the BS that we make such a big deal about is going to seem very petty and that being a moderator of aldeer is going to seem much less important.

Look, we're not saying you have to be specific about what you want to trade. There's a lot of stuff out there that I might would take on trade that I wouldn't have thought of if it had not been offered. At least state a "value" of what you are offering and don't be as clear as mud on the description.
You two sound like you think this site is a democracy. There are rules here, and there are about to be more because of stuff like this. I tried to be nice in my explanation of why we would like things the way we stated but apparently that's not how some folks want to be. It's not about power or anything of the sort. In my years of moderating on here I have edited or deleted less than 10 posts on this entire board. Anyone on here that knows me personally knows I'm not "that guy". 1. It doesn't matter if you care if I'm a moderator or not. The moderators and owners of this site make the rules and that's just the way it's going to be. Just so you know, rules aren't just made on a whim. Any change that is made is discussed among moderators and receives the blessings of the owners. Nobody is on a power trip here. 2. Yes, the first post is silly but I wouldn't call it ignorant. Hoggin is hitting on something that has been a problem for quite a while and should have been addressed before now. And no, I don't know Hoggin nor have I ever met the man so it's not about just doing something for a buddy. 3.The statement that pertained to how long someone had been on here was directed toward BLR as well. He had been a member for a whole 2 months and was already telling us how to run this place. It would be akin to you working a job as a manager for several years and then some guy that was hired 2 months ago walks up, talks to you in a vulgar manner, and tells you how you are going to start doing your job. You wouldn't like it any more than we did. As far as the points go, it's about number of posts but I can assure you it has nothing to do with how I personally treat someone. I don't care about how much you say, I care about what you say and how you say it. I look at someone's character and nothing more. Now, if you want to keep participating in the forum, please do. We WANT you to, we really do, but we are going to moderate how we see fit. Jerry

Unfortunately the number of post has nothing to do with the character or integrity of the person. I don't care how many post you have; just have some common sense, honesty, and integrity and I can deal with you. I don't have a lot of post and have dealt with people on here that have very few and have dealt with some that have a lot. For the most part all have been good people and I hope they would say the same about me.
