4227 and h110 can (and obviously) do work in some instances, and they might be better for the lighter weight subs. I cut my teeth on 300B0 in the early days of introduction when pretty much all subs were 220 SMK’s or 225 Hornady BTHP and everyone was still trying to figure out the best, quietest, most reliable setups in gas guns. Everyone (including manufacturers ) were experimenting with gas port size, gas system length and barrel length. Through all of that, the load was quietest and would cycle in almost anything was one of the 220+ bullets under AA1680. During the sane time, h110 was gold standard for supersonic loads.
