Yeah I agree. Check out some of the thermal drone videos on YouTube. Those dudes can fly over a property and identify every single buck and where he is bedded, not fair chase by any stretch. Might as well just do a bullshit high fence hunt if you need to dumb it down that much to kill a buck, hell the challenge is what makes it fun.

My opinion is worthless but I think the obvious answer is drones should be banned for use for hunting. There should be a very hefty fine if caught using a drone for hunting and maybe even cuffing and stuffing and haul the individual or individuals off to jail should happen as well in hopes of deterring unethical hunting practice of using drones. I personally consider it about the same as night hunting.

Once again, the penalties simply must be harsh enough, to actually deter the bad behavior. People view Alabama’s game laws not as laws, but as mere recommendations. Why? Because the penalties for violating them are nothing more than a joke. Pay the nominal fine, which in most cases isn’t more than a nice dinner out with the wife, and go right back to breaking the law as soon as you leave the courthouse
Let me ask everyone a couple questions and this will get at the heart of the issue……..
Lets say a guy kills a new state record in Alabama this season and upon further investigation its found that he’s basically done exactly what that guy in Indiana did with the Nucor buck…….he used a drone to find and track the buck daily for two weeks leading up to finally killing it……Will you recognize that as a legitimate kill or would you want an asterisk * out beside it in the record book so to speak??........What about if you kill a good one yourself with heavy aid from a drone……Will you have any issues telling everyone else how it went down or will you hide that aspect of it??.....
In the video Don I assume is throwing shade at the Seek One boys and says to go interview them and ask them if they’re using drones to find and pattern these bucks they show on their videos……I don’t know if they are or if they arent…. BUT…..if they are and don’t just freely come out and say “Yeah, that’s exactly how we did it”…..then that tells you all you need to know about how we view using one in this manner……That goes for anyone…….I’m not really trying to single them out as much as just using it as an example……

Depends on the tournament circuit and their event regs.
BASS has some tournaments with them and some without. I haven't paid close attention but I think the Old School guys have done well in the "without," as you might expect.
MLF has a mix of "sessions with, sessions without" during the tournament. So you might fish two hours with, and then tPwo without, and then two with again. Or something like that.
The NPFL doesn't use them at all, a true old school circuit. They fish some good lakes, have some good folks and are growing.
I like technology and have fished with FFS. It's fun and different. I also like pulling my flatbrim down to shade the sun (they really help) and going down a bank with a black-blue jig or tube flippin' vegetation and wood.
It's possible to enjoy multiple things, though some folks have a hard time with that.

Here’s you a real world example……This may or may not have happened………
Guy has some property in Jackson Co in the mountains…..For anyone who has hunted that area you’ll be familiar with how the mountains usually have on big bluff at the top and then multiple “benches” below as you descend the mountain……Hunter flies his drone for an hour before daylight and follows a big buck coming back up the mountain and bedding right below the bluff on top…….He marks the location on his phone or GPS and then proceeds to circle around to the top of the mountain where he belly crawls up to the edge of the bluff and snipes the buck out of his bed…….
Just check out the first minute and thirty seconds or so if you dont watch anything else......Also if you do watch the rest of it notice how many times he said the buck walked in front of his trail camera during this same time period.....Spoiler alert: It was one time for the folks who think that this is no different than using cameras
