I did not pick a tomato from my in ground plants. The tomatoes in the raised beds did great. Romas are finishing up now. Peppers, squash, zucchini, eggplant and cucumbers did great. Peppers and eggplant are still going with an occasional cucumber. This heat done finished them off.

My peppers just started producing again after the right fertilizer. Green beans are producing pretty decent in some raised beds. Others not so much. I pulled a bunch of them and re-planted more yesterday.

Also pulled my cucumbers and re-planted them. I've got about a hundred maters that'll be ready to pick in a month or so. Another 24 or so new plants that are just now flowering.

Grape tomatos are producing a few dozen a day. Indeterminates we got from Home Depot just aren't doing all that great. Beefsteak variety. We get one or two a week off it and they are small and deformed.

But my hossinators are really big, uniform shape, durable and prolific.

We planted late this year. Just started harvesting and it has been a bumper crop across the board. Have picked probably 50 each of squash, cucumbers, and zucchini in the last week. Okra I have picked around 100 pods. Tomatoes are just starting to turn, purple hull peas, and green beans are just starting to come in.

I can't get a squash or zucchini to grow to save my life this year and everyone I talk to seems to have the same problem. Is it because of all the rain?

IDK - we have friends that are growing the heck out of it but they’re doing it in buckets & they said they’ve fertilized the 💩 out of em - I reckon they can control the watering too 🤷🏻‍♂️

My squash are in grow bags. One zucchini so far. Wife harvested before I would have, out of desperation wanting to eat the zucchini.

I harvested another round of peppers yesterday, left some on the vine just to see how big they'll get. We also had another round of hossinator tomatoes blush almost overnight. Harvested about half a dozen yesterday.

I cut most of my green bean bushes down and re-planted. Same for cucumber. Both popped out of the ground almost overnight.

Just watermelons and okra left. Watermelons be ready this weekend.

My daughters corn experiment didn't go well. I discarded the corn, went to the store, bought corn, dropped it on the ground and told her it was ready to harvest. She and a friend gathered up and is none the wiser.
That experiment is done for the year.

Planted some sweet corn, zipper peas and okara today. The pitiful zucchini and squash plants I replaced two weeks ago are doing good so far. For some reason I can't grow squash this year to save my life and to me there ain't much better than fresh fried squash.

I've harvested 1 zuchinni. No squash. One of each on the vine now. I planted about 10 more last weekend and they're coming up already. Hopefully they'll do a little better.

Got a ton of tomatoes. And some of the tomatos I have cut down at the stem are growing back. I plan on letting them just to see if they produce again

Hoping the vine borers are done laying eggs, and we don't get a ton of rain. Let us know how the tomatoes you cut back do. That's interesting

Mine looks like hammered dog crap right now. It’s been getting neglected with the rice harvest going on. As much as I hate to say it, I could use a rain on my sweet corn patch. Starting to see a few leaves twisting. I’d hate to have to roll out the drip tape again but I may have to.

I planted more squash and none of it is doing well at all. Not sure why not. But gave up on it.

My newest tomatoes are blushing and we are harvesting a half dozen or so a day. Bigger than a baseball for most.

I've got a lot of little ones still on the vine but everything seems to just stop growing during that heat wave.

The original determinates that I cut back at the stem, most of them grew back up a few feet. Some bloomed and put on fruit. Fruit is small and very few. Some didn't put on new fruit at all. So that experiment is a lesson learned.

I won't fool with letting them come back next time. Just start more seedlings to replace.

My okra decided to start producing all of a sudden, but still not as much as I'd hoped for.

Peppers are still loaded and I harvest 20 or so large ones every few days.

Sweet taters will be ready in a few weeks.

I haven't had horn worm issues in a few weeks. But something is boring tiny holes in some tomatoes and peppers especially. No idea what. So I sprayed again.

BTW, if you use seven dust, a leaf blower will evenly distribute it across a fairly decent sized area. Works better with two people or if you have longer arms.

I’m picking peas nowadays. Watermelon will be ready soon.

This has been a strange year for squash. My first planting was a complete failure, and I planted some more two months ago. They started out great and I got a couple squash off each and within the last two weeks everyone on them has started wilting and dieing back. This was in a completely different area than the first planting. I usually don't have any problem with squash.

Every year is a strange year for squash for me. I don't think I will plant squash or zucchini next year. Takes up too much space and it is too finicky
