Try again Gomer, the paying the players thing is getting old.

Hold on a sec.....I wanna make sure I understand what you're saying...

I don't know if that $1M figure is true or not, but let's say that it is.....you genuinely believe he/his family turned down $1M just because they love Alabaster/Thompson so much and that there wasn't a counter offer that matched or at least came close?

And before you try to say they stayed because you think Thompson just gave him the best chance to succeed, he was already considered a top priority recruit as early as 4 years ago...he was gonna be a big name signee no matter where he finished HS.

Yes, turned down a million! Why would someone pay that kind of money when , according to Gomer, they could just go recruit /buy another good QB. Alabaster is not Mt Brook. We aint po but we aint got that kind of money either.

Read it for yourself.

And there is Pritchett that turned down $750,000 to stay at Thompson.

That'll likely be a blow out unless they improve a lot during the season......Auburn lost 3 fumbles and still managed to win

What's not to believe? He didn't write the articles reporting the possible NIL deals; he just linked to the articles. Freeman even verified the offers according to the articles. When seaborn turned down his offer it was even reported on espn.

The only thing that's hard to believe is that if they are both as good as the offers suggest, you'd think they would have wound up at a private school since private schools do ALL the recruiting and get the best players.

Seaborn is pretty damn good. I have watched him personally since 8th grade (daughter on the flag team for 4 years) His accuracy is the most impressive thing about him. I watched him one season and don’t think I saw him throw a bad ball. The vast majority of his few interceptions that I have seen have come off tips. He has good speed and can take a lick. He is cool under big game pressure. I was always a bit worried about his size but he has filled out decently plus he is a good kid. We will see how he pans out in college but he definitely has the tools.
