You can likely come up with a sub load for IMR 4227, but it’s not ideal. H110 is even worse. Why is that? I've shot my H110 load alongside factory Hornady Subsonic and can't tell any difference in sound. Loaded some rounds with AA2200 at an identical velocity (1060) and they are much louder and dirtier. The H110 load is also accurate and functions in my AR. A few weeks back we were shooting an 8" steel plate with it at 200 yards with it. Interestingly, there's a holdover mark in my scope that was on at that range, though I never plan to shoot that far on game.
