If I were a college coach I would offer her a scholarship NOW.
This girl is better than >80% of college softball players now. She may be the best softball player ever if she continues.
The boys will pass her in the next few years, but she is damn good.

Y'all ever hear of "Capper" Reed from Guntersville ? She played boys HS baseball about 25 years ago and hit at least one , legit, over the fence HR in the state playoffs . She went on to a great softball career at Alabama , a great female athlete, she played basketball for the Tide also I believe.

Yep; has a better swing than most of the boys on the team. Great arm. I noticed that too, She has really good mechanics, and she ain't afraid to take one off the bat either...  She's had a couple of shots hit right back at her and heck I even ducked...

She's had a couple of shots hit right back at her and heck I even ducked... Mechanics are great , she learned to throw over the top and use her lower body. Well coached , her curve is a knee buckling hammer.

Boys already passing her. She should never have been at short stop, made several errors due to lack of speed imo. Would be a great 1st baseman and hitter at this age forward of she keeps playing baseball. She is gonna be a great softball player.

I agree Ben 1st or left field. Probably best to go ahead and transition to softball though.

Not sure where those stats are as she was not charged with an error during the entire LLWS. I did not see every play she made or did not make so maybe there were some she was "to slow to get to" but no errors.

Best bet would be to go ahead and transition to softball for school. She’d never make a competitive high school team in the area.

It can be done. Google Beanie Ketchum. She was a terror on the mound in Little League and Dixie Boys in Hoover during the early 80’s. She was also in starting rotation at Vestavia Hills High School in the late 80’s on a team that lost in the State finals. She was legit.
