Canada imports 100,000 tonnes of beef. So that should free up some prices here! Prices was starting to tip down back in June some, sure it’s gonna drop the prices a touch, but it’s not the end of the day for most cattleman I know. End of the day. It’s Just farming! If it was a get rich easy deal everyone would do it. I bought a bill out of Canada this past spring. Red Charolais, guess I’m part of the problem too. 😂 I was referring to Canada saying their not buying anything from us because of tarriffs, lol

That’s a lot of cattle some country is about to process, unless there’s more to the story More unknown toxic fillers to the story is what it means. I really wish I could find a local source for grassfed. I have decided this year that any deer I process is getting beef fat added going forward. We've always added beef fat whether doing it ourselves or having a processor do it. I pkg elk/deer burger with 10% or 20% depends on what I'm planning. 10's the norm but that 20% makes some juicy ass burger. A select few packs are ground with no fat.

I was listening to a Texas radio station this morning, they happen to be interviewing a beef wholesaler, he said Argentina is a big supplier, he named a couple of others but i couldnt hear who they were. He also said if its stamped US Beef that means nothing, its probably not US

I didn’t realize until yesterday that Auburn University meat lab sells meat on Thursday and Friday every week. Talked to a buddy over there who said prices are about like Publix but quality is good. I’m going over there next week

Theres one on here, he can say if he wants. But hes getting ribeyes, and filets for $8.66 a pound. He saved nearly $2000, over buying the same cuts from publix! Says beef is way better quality also. Its out there, you just gotta find it!

I literally have heard only one person say this is a good idea, and he posts here If you’re referring to me, it’s not that I think it’s a good idea so much. It’s more there nothing we can do about it. Beef is stock market like everything else. You want me to call trump on his cell phone and tell him to do better? Beside crying so much about politics I just learn to live with em. We have no choice in the matter on what happens regardless of what we think. In farming you make the best of the situation your given. Regardless what it is. We can cry and point fingers or figure out what to do and move forward.

Theres one on here, he can say if he wants. But hes getting ribeyes, and filets for $8.66 a pound. He saved nearly $2000, over buying the same cuts from publix! Says beef is way better quality also. Its out there, you just gotta find it! I'm assuming you're referring to me. I have a spreadsheet/chart that lays out everything. I'm willing to share that if anyone wants to post it for me. Now, that's with your pricing for me and I know that's not everyones pricing and I don't want to do you harm in any way or make my cost any more expensive. But if you want me to, for the sake of this conversation, I can. First, I don't buy your meat for the price. I buy the meat because I trust you and want clean quality meat. My wife and I both, as well as the friends I've brought to you, notice the difference in both the Pork and Beef. It tastes better. And in a world where all our food is full of chemicals, hormones and such, we are far more concerned with quality over price. Not that price doesn't matter. But clean takes precedence. That's why I took up gardening. My wife is hyper vigilant on what we eat now. Thinking of how bad it got, it's really got her aware. So I grow my own veggies or source from those I trust. I buy beef and pork from those I trust. I ONLY buy from a grocery store what I don't have available elsewhere. I purchased and cut up 4 whole chickens last week and plan to do more. Unfortunately I didn't have a clean independent source on that. I wish I did. Let me know if you want the comparison. My son was asking me a lot of questions last weekend and I was at Sams so I took photos of most of their meat pricing. I can add that to the comparison as well, though that meat is low quality and cheap, it's apples to oranges. The meat I get from BarL is really more comparable to Whole Foods or Sprouts, which are extremely expensive, but supposedly clean
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I’m not worried as much about price as quality. This deal with the ground beef just got me thinking
