HWY 87 overpass got hit by a vehicle. partial collapse. Traffic is going to be screwed even worse for a while.

Some folks are saying an excavator on a trailer clipped the underside of the bridge. Load height was too tall.

Well I am contemplating going to Plantersville for a day or two to take advantage of this Cold front. It's always a debate for me whether to go through Montevallo or Centerville. No debate this time if I go.

I-65 is backed up cause of something like this, but you think taking 31 around the mess will be faster. Everybody else also thought the same thing and its worse.

At that link its Camera I-65 MP 233.9 . It looks like traffic is being diverted through the under construction area.

I travel this state weekly with my job. And the amount of time that I've set in a traffic stop from Alabaster South to Clanton is unbelievable. It's so bad that I keep a piss container in the truck for just in cases.

Just gonna put this out there... CR87 Bridge going across I-10 was shut down abruptly last month so they could raise the bridge 11". Could it be possible, that they meant to raise the CR87 bridge on I-65 instead of I-10?
