We just put out 2100 lbs of pellet lime on green fields. with ATV spreaders. I did 1,500 lbs in May/June and there was no "we"!  Started out strong, but those last few bags got heavy! I think I'll try to figure out a buggy next year!

Buggy would be great if land permits and you have a tractor. Next choice is to get several people together with ATV spreaders. We had three for the 2100 lbs. and things went smooth. Used 40 lb. bags.

Most ground is either high or low around here
Guy that’s at the local CoOp kept telling me. Not matter what 2 tons to the acre for 5 years before you start fertilizing most of our soils test were in the 4.5 to 5.5 range so I don’t think he was wrong. We didn’t fertilize our fields for several years and only limes either Pelletier or bulk.
