I haven't seen anything posted about it yet but there was a bear hit by a car and killed near Moulton. Very close to Shelton's clothing. I received a picture of it but thought they were pulling my leg. When I got in last night I asked my wife if it was a hoax and she said no, My daughter knows the 18yr old girl that hit it.

I think so, the young lady is related to a buddy of mine's daughter. He showed me the pic and said she wasn't hurt. Banged up the left front of her vehicle. It was on a rollback in the pic I saw. Edit: I read tonight on the Facebooks that it totaled the vehicle. Didn’t kill the bear, a GW had to come out kill it.

Anybody got a news blurb or something on it? I haven't seen one. I would have thought it would have been on the news. I have never seen a bear either (hope I never do, TBH)...But,a few yrs ago, I did see a video of the Weaver police dept. running wide open thru a small cotton field chasing after a bear...  And then just yesterday I seen a picture of a big bear off of Ladiga Trail in the heart of Jacksonville Al....  I never in my life would've thought we would ever get bears around here....It's crazy to me...  Oh, and btw, Mr.Game warden over this way said if you shoot one you better have some scratches on your face..... ..

I don’t know if any of you heard about the myths of Catman in the Gulf State Park. The road that runs through the middle of the park from GS to OB is named Catman Trail. Back in the early 80’s, a boy named Mark hit a bear, which is mounted and displayed at the park. When cops arrived, they asked are you OK and what’s that smell!??. He told them you’d shit in your pants to if you knew Catman was gone to get you. Look it up if you want a little folklore history.

It made its way to the local book of faces News pages last night. Word is it totaled the car but did not kill the bear. They had to call a Warden to dispatch it and apparently it took a while. Heard the warden had to call his boss to come do it. Anyways they were trying to keep it hush till they got their ducks in a row.
