Buy a cheap camera drone and just set it on the ground to view the target? That is what I did last year. I used my drone. If you can buy a drone for ~$150 that will send you images from 500 yards away, why can't you buy a non flying camera for ~$50. It's a great question and I don't have an answer for you. My crawlspace robot could do it, but not sure the distance. I struggle to find proper camera equipment for my robot. I use an action camera that has a transmitter that is linked to a screen I have on a tripod. It's pretty limited on range inside a crawlspace. But open field? Who knows. I'll test that when my son closes on his land next month. He said we could easily take a 300 yard shot. Maybe more as the land is now. I just don't know how far my transmitter would work. You're wanting an FPV camera that can transmit to a phone/screen, some kind of receiver. Goggles won't work, needs to be a screen next to you. But there are relatively cheap FPV racing type drones that would absolutely work. FPV stuffMany of the cameras would serve to send me video. But I needed to be able to remotely snap photos and videos and save them to a memory card. If all I needed was a camera, transmitter, receiver and screen, most of those would do. My camera is wired to an analog transmitter that sends to a linked 5x7 color screen on a tripod. I have a remote control that steers the robot, servos to turn and raise the camera and remotely snap photos. I use scuba mask lighting.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
