You are right. This is the location of the flock cameras. There are two within three miles of me. " Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs or LPRs) are AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car's location, date, and time. They also capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points. These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime. These systems are marketed as indispensable tools to fight crime, but they ignore the powerful tools police already have to track criminals, such as cell phone location data, creating a loophole that doesn't require a warrant." This is where they are

Yup and they are not always obvious to see. There is one strapped to a telephone pole next to the BarBQue joint that is watching 331 as folks come into Luverne from the north. You wouldn't know its a flock camera without looking at that website. I took a picture of it Saturday. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/XNGzWnZ4/flockcam.jpg)

Wait until Flock really starts pushing their drones. Within 5yrs from today, the number of drones used by private and public BigBrother is going to absolutely explode

You go in stores, cameras are watching. You drive down the road, cameras are watching. You walk through the woods, cameras are watching.

An indispensable tool for fighting crime would be to put criminals in prison.

An indispensable tool for fighting crime would be to put criminals in prison. And the criminals that insist on letting them out.

Hmmm, and i was told this weekend that i couldn't staple a yard sale sign to a utility pole... Alabama Power doesn't make money from your yard sale sign. They make a lot of it from Flock cameras.

Now, what if these had been in place prior to the "cough, cough" shut down six years ago when folks didn't want to be stuck at home and didn't see the need for the shut down? I know it has helped for the good in some instances, but the danger of them being used against the freedoms of the general population who are doing no wrong is extremely concerning.

They’ve already started being installed around hot button establishments Gun ranges/stores, weed shops, abortion clinics, religious buildings. Regardless of someone’s personal feelings on any one/all the listed above, it can easily be used by government for nefarious purposes very easily.

No one should ve able to access the data on these cameras without a warrant. They need probable cause and proof of it. . If they do that, I feel better about it.

I'm pretty sure the courts just required a warrant for cell phone "geofencing", so maybe they'll do the cameras too. Even then, are we to trust Flock/Alabama Power with the data? Not me.

I was totally oblivious to these things, till AU7MM08 made a post about it awhile back. Come to find out, I have one less than 3 miles from my house. I live out in the sticks down here, so…. What’s it for?

What’s it for? Same here. One facing south on 231 coming into Morgan City the another one pointing east down Union Grove road. Anyone coming from Arab to Huntsville is recorded. The second one is a single lane road coming from Guntersville. There are three where 231 intersects with hwy 36. Another two lane road. There is also one pointed south on the Tenn River bridge. Looks like they are monitoring any/all access points to Huntsville. Looks like its time for me to start using back roads again.
