Then after I retired I continued working on storm restoration with a contractor. Hauling equipment and materials into Louisiana, south Mississippi and Florida. I saw apartments, houses and trailer parks absolutely packed with people. It was worse than anything I saw overseas in combat areas. I thought packing 20 Marines into a SwaHut was bad, but that wasn’t even close to what I saw in Southern Louisiana or Dallas.

Yep. They pay minimal rent. Food. We pay insurance. We pay fed benefits. They save for 10 years. Go home and retire like kings. It's a pattern. I don't begrudge them. Most are decent and just trying to survive. But it impacts our society in ways that are negative across the board. Republicans and democrats think it's a good thing. The reality is different tho.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
