You don't even need any sauce". He asked the host what it was. They said, "Oh that's Donkey".

It was one of the best things I ate over there. I don't know what to tell you it tasted like, it tasted like "donkey". Not chicken, beef, lamb, deer, whatever.

The lady told me they have a saying in China: "When we get to heaven, we will have dragon meat. Until then, we have donkey".

So if we ever have hard times, you better put your donkey up. I might come get him. Of course I don't know what they fed that donkey out on to make him taste like that. Probably not pasture weeds.
Similar experience in Baranquilla Columbia. My host took us to "Pizza Hot" restaurant and we got burgers. I mean these burgers were rank ... when I asked my host what kind of meat it was he told me it was cat. That was in the late 70's and I still barf at the thought of it.

I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin

If you've ever been fortunate enough to have Red Deer, it is excellent! I killed a Stag years ago knowing nothing about the meat. Some of the best I've ever ate.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Guy I use to work with ate caribou at one of his churches wild game dinners. He said it was the best wild game he had ever ate. I've had beaver and deer and elk. Many other critters also. Hairless beaver is my favorite...😛

Love a good hunting story, love my family and friends. Some people you can't, but acted like do.

The grocer in Traverse City owned a buffalo farm and you could get meat, good stuff. Tim the tool man taylor ate one of their buffalo burgers on the show

Your Deer must taste A LOT better than Eastern Whitetails to rank it ahead of Elk.

My wife likes the blacktail better as well. We eat 90% elk meat obviously since we put a couple in the freezer every year so, the rarity of venison may be part of it. Don't get me wrong, we love our elk.
Last year I put up about 150# burger, 25-30# of backstraps/steaks, and a few roasts. Also 30# breakfast sausage, 30# cheddar brats, and 24# pepperoni stix. Thats not counting my sons portion lol

Wildebeest is delicious, as is fallow, reindeer (caribou), water buffalo, and blackbuck antelope.

Others mentioned here that are really good are elk, red deer, axis, and oryx.
