 Love old maps, surveys and such myself. Don't know why they left off route from Bridgeport, through Huntsville, to Tuscumbia and points west. Basically old US 72 and parallels the Norfolk-Southern RR (which was built prior to the Civil War) . It's been there since waaaay before 1880 and was a major east west route across NA.
