Which is the most likely scenario on 12/31/26

A $7 diesel
B 7% 30yr home mortgages
C Both equally likely
D diesel and home mortgage rates will be lower than today.

The inflation we are seeing and have seen I believe is a direct result of diesel prices both on road and off road. Trump is better than the alternative but until he gets the refinery built up to cut it to a couple of dollars a gallon we will continue to have continued inflation. The price of the hvac equipment and materials are up 122% across the board since January 2020 some even more and the farm input prices are even more. It’s just unsustainable. I’m sick of hearing about all the business coming back to the USA and I’m glad it is but let’s do something quickly about the fuel prices.

Sure do wish we had Kamala, more illegals, giggling in meetings with world leaders/adversaries, speeches worded incomprehensibly, not changing any of Biden's policies (said so when asked) and on and on. Yes, we're in a bad place, but DAMN!

It doesn't matter if nobody is buying $400k homes with high interest rates anyway. Home sellers are out numbering home buyers by the largest margin ever. https://x.com/JeffWeniger/status/2090630216121204809/photo/1

You forget one:

E. The Dow will be above 55,000.

On average, the Dow is up 12% per year since Trump came into office. If that continues, I could care less about 7% mortgage rates or $7 diesel. I’m sure many people on here have seen their 401ks and other investments gain 10s or maybe 100s of thousands of dollars. That will buy a lot of expensive gas and groceries.

That argument is so old. Yes he was a better choice but that doesn’t mean you have to accept it.

You’re too young to realize that 2021 and 2022 mortgage rates were a once in a lifetime, short term occurrence. If you were not able to take advantage, you missed your chance and it’s never coming back. Nothing close to those rates will ever be seen again. Mortgage rates today are still lower than the long term historical average by almost a full point.

You are correct sir. But that does not fit their constant gloom and doom narrative

It sux but I can still have a good time with what I have. Dwight Yokam is singing about 2 doors down on my boom box and it’s nice out this evening. It ain’t about what you want, it’s about what you have. Take while to learn that but hard times are just one left turn away. Give em hell Trump and damn all these high prices.

It be's that way sometimes.
