Maybe Thompson can beat Clay Chalkville this year. Kinda weird how that 6A program has been a thorn in their side the last couple of years.

Looks like it may be a long season for the baby tigers.......Got curb stomped by Hewitt-Trussville tonight.......Their QB with probably be the 6A player of the week with nearly 300 yards passing, 150+ rushing and 6 TDs

I watched part of that Trussville Auburn game. Auburn D is lacking. Definitely not what they were just 3 or 4 years ago.

Badly…….we will probably be ok on offense but the defense looked rough……and Hewitt-Trussville probably had an average offense compared to some others we’ll face……I aint trying to throw anyone under the bus but ever since I’ve been watching them they always look out of shape and unprepared……We weren’t prepared to stop their RPO offense…..I went back after the lighting delay and watched the rest of the game and we had one guy after another laying on the field with cramps which has also been par for course…..Lack of conditioning is an issue

Watching Tuscaloosa County is just depressing. They got beat by Hillcrest last night 64-0 and it could’ve been worse. They lost their starting QB to a broken collarbone and lost 2 other offensive skill players to broken ankles last night. They’re small and slow compared to their competition and Hillcrest isn’t even 6A
There’s a lot of blame on Coach Bell this morning on social media, but from what I’ve seen firsthand, most of it is unfounded. He literally has nothing to work with. They had over 50 varsity players quit or transfer since last season, with nearly 30 quitting during summer workouts simply because they didn’t like the workouts or being held accountable.

That’s one aspect of it that I will admit I may just not have a good perspective on…….Its the quality of kid these days that the coaches have to work with and being able to push them to work hard without quitting……At a school like Auburn though I would think a standard needs to be set that if you want to play for the big boys then you gotta earn that spot…..if not go somewhere else…..It may create a sucky season or two but we about to see that anyways from lack of preparation, conditioning, and discipline……It was a miracle that our record was as good as it ended being las year…..We had a lot of luck that helped that out…..
I’ll say this……if we somehow make it to the playoffs this year and have to face Thompson……they’ll have their JV in by the 3rd quarter……We’re not even remotely in their league……Central may have the JV in on us when we play them in a few weeks

Same as it always has. They move in with their cousins or auntie or coach has someone to give parent a job and pays for apartment.

I dont know how the process works but everyone does it and its well known so its not like I'm telling secrets......We have a couple receivers and a DB that moved in the season that all ought to be stand out talents but..........I just dont see how anyone can expect young football players to get better when you never have contact in practice......The game the other night against Hewitt-Trussville was literally the first full speed contact that our players have had since the last game we played last season......What do expect a defense to look like when they never get a chance to learn how to hit and tackle??......I dont know what game they're playing now but its a different one than what I grew up with

You can look up every school’s roster on Dragonfly and see how many new transfers each has for this season. For reference, Tuscaloosa County High has 3……2 are from Europe (I think family moved here with Mercedes) and 1 is from Georgia. Most of the big 5A and 6A schools have double digits with many having in the 20’s. Thompson has 42 transfers on their roster . Yeah I’m sure there’s nothing shady going on there… “Nature hates a vacuum”……when CFB became a minor league pro league, high school football became the new CFB

Saw where columbia he broke the nations longest losing streak at 101. Congrats to them i guess. Played them bunches thru the years. They'd try to make us bolunteer film n coach's comm folks pay to get in their place and bring 9 people when they'd come to ours. Glad we started buying them out n just play at home. Saw also that former au wr sammie coates was their coach.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Thompson had a player transfer in from Spain Park after mid season couple years back.
Ten years ago you couldn't pay players to come to Thompson. Now they come because the want to be on a winning team with great coaching, not for money. I wonder if the next coach will be able to keep it going.

Yeah I’m sure stud football players getting moved from across the country to Alabaster, AL and ending up on Thompson’s roster has nothing to do with money.

The longest active losing streak in high school football history belongs to Red Lake High School in Minnesota, standing at 150 consecutive losses. This four-decade-spanning skid dates back to their last victory on October 16, 1999.

Yeah… I saw that but it was cut and paste from AI Overview but has now changed it to the 101 loosing streak. Another example of why you shouldn’t trust AI.
