This is just damn weird... Has he been reading the works of Sam Walton?

Today, I concluded a deal to substantially lower the price of ground beef for working American families. As everyone knows, under President Biden, beef prices soared at their fastest rate and the American beef herd fell to its smallest size in modern history. As we work to rebuild this herd and help our ranchers, for the next 90 days, the United States will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of product for ground beef to be imported with no out of quota tariff. We have a commitment that this beef will be sold at 25 percent below current market prices. This deal will reduce prices for Americans while giving space for our Great American Beef Herd to grow again. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
President DONALD J. TRUMP

So in order to help our farmers and ranchers, we're going to flood the market with their competitors cheap product. Makes perfect sense.

Is it actually quality beef from real cattle or some imposter meat that may or may not be from real animals?

Yea I don't understand this either. Not a move I would have made. I wonder what is the real reason. I guess time will tell.

I wouldn’t eat that crap if I was starving. No regulations and controls on what is in it-kinda like the Covid Fiasco! Enjoy at your own healths expense.

Either I’m not smart enough to wrap my head around this plan, or it’s completely Opposite Day in Washington. “Take a right.”…turns on left blinker and turns left and everyone in the room nods in agreement.

A lot of folks in the tweeter-verse are saying this is just going to under-cut US beef producers and make it harder on them. I can't see how that is an untrue statement.

He didn't say who this "deal" is with
He didn't identify the countries supplying the beef or explain who supposedly committed to selling it at that steep discount
They did say “ground” beef

Its going to be that pre-packaged ground stuff in the big sausage log tube you see at Walmart along with the pre-frozen hamburger patties you get at fast food places and ball parks. Your Jack's burger will be 25% cheaper and even more toxic.

So beef prices will go down and the Republicans win the midterms right? As silly as this sounds Trump has cut Democrats affordability argument off at the knees by lowering beef prices.

I have all the deer meat I can eat in my freezer. Never buy store bought meat, except an occasional Ribeye.
