He is an Andalusia High School Alumnus. His mother, sister and her family live here currently. His mom is Brenda Gantt of "Cooking with Brenda Gantt" Facebook page fame. His BIL is our current County DA and the guy who has the Shepherding Outdoors Facebook page, along with having authored some books from those stories on those posts. I had no idea he was in law enforcement until I saw a handful of posts yesterday about the recognition he received for is actions referenced in the OP's post.
His mother has family land about 2 miles from here in pickens county. Dallas is a motorcycle cop. Got to be tough in the heat and cold.
