While correct, it is absolutely fair to say Trump is doing nothing domestically to help Americans with cost of living and expenses. He's ate up with overseas issues and doing nothing to help us.
That's a fair assessment in my opinion. And a sticking point to me regarding his legacy. He's forgot or doesn't give a shit who put him there and why.
He's done a lot of good things. But in the end, the wallet dictates votes more than anything else. And on that subject he is severely lacking right now. He did tariffs which could have helped but they ruined that. Fuel prices are down from what they were under Biden but have been back up the last 4 or 6 months but not to biden levels, stock market at record highs, perscription costs down, deporting illegals helps every american. Surely every american knows every single item will be more expensive under democrats like ot always is. I get where you're coming from. However, stock market and all that doesn't mean beans to most Americans. The receipt at the grocery store and the gas pumps means more than anything else. Period. Those two factors, along with utility costs and housing are what the average American struggles with. Not the stock market. I'm not hurting. But I also am smart enough to see how much it takes to fill my truck just so I can work. How much groceries are too. I'm lucky enough to be healthy enough to do what needs doing for my family. But most aren't in my position and I'm very aware of how they are suffering. Trump is no different than Biden in those regards. Simple truth. I still support him. Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those delusionals that are so plentiful on this forum now. But I also am capable of seeing reality. It's sucking right now. And the reason the republicans don't care is because the democrats are in so much disarray that they don't feel motivated to do anything about it to earn re-election. And I believe they are correct in that assessment.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
