We tend to point out all the money Trump is causing us. Where do you think we would be as a country if Biden had never been elected and Trump would have won instead? Health care is going up billions because of it. It's costing the school systems billions. All the extra food is driving up prices. The tax intake is minimal compared to what they are costing us

I think you have a point, but it would be difficult in this age of liberal media to get any kind of accurate number on that.

While correct, it is absolutely fair to say Trump is doing nothing domestically to help Americans with cost of living and expenses. He's ate up with overseas issues and doing nothing to help us.
That's a fair assessment in my opinion. And a sticking point to me regarding his legacy. He's forgot or doesn't give a shit who put him there and why.
He's done a lot of good things. But in the end, the wallet dictates votes more than anything else. And on that subject he is severely lacking right now.

He did tariffs which could have helped but they ruined that. Fuel prices are down from what they were under Biden but have been back up the last 4 or 6 months but not to biden levels, stock market at record highs, perscription costs down, deporting illegals helps every american. Surely every american knows every single item will be more expensive under democrats like ot always is.

Surely every american knows every single item will be more expensive under democrats like ot always is. I get where you're coming from. However, stock market and all that doesn't mean beans to most Americans. The receipt at the grocery store and the gas pumps means more than anything else. Period. Those two factors, along with utility costs and housing are what the average American struggles with. Not the stock market. I'm not hurting. But I also am smart enough to see how much it takes to fill my truck just so I can work. How much groceries are too. I'm lucky enough to be healthy enough to do what needs doing for my family. But most aren't in my position and I'm very aware of how they are suffering. Trump is no different than Biden in those regards. Simple truth. I still support him. Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those delusionals that are so plentiful on this forum now. But I also am capable of seeing reality. It's sucking right now. And the reason the republicans don't care is because the democrats are in so much disarray that they don't feel motivated to do anything about it to earn re-election. And I believe they are correct in that assessment.

The three most expensive line items for most are
Housing/utilities Transportation/related like insurance&gas Groceries/dining All of these have risen tremendously since Q1 2020. American consumers are getting squeezed.
Trump campaigned on amongst other things but relevant to this discussion and a major reason I voted for him; $2 gas, no new wars and ending the war in Ukraine within his first week. If these 3 above were the priorities, the American people would have a different reality in August 2026.

The Big Beautiful Bill has already added $2T to the debt and caused baseline inflation to jump before the Iran mess got started. Its processes are still in play and are set to really generate a lot more inflation as its unfunded liabilities kick in.

Housing/utilities Transportation/related like insurance&gas Groceries/dining All of these have risen tremendously since Q1 2020. . Every one of those items is downstream of immigration, both legal and illegal. Trump could have focused on that and it would have impacted the economy more than anything else. Ending USAID was a good step. DOGE was a good step. The Republican Senate is a brick wall towards progress. We are paying for illegals to be housed and fed. Illegals get more in monthly benefits than Social Security retirees. Securing the border means nothing if you are flying them in from a shithole country. Over 75% or more of new jobs since 2020 have been filled by foreign workers on various Visas. You have millions forced out of the workforce by the invasion of Indians. Muslims are taking over major cities and soon will have conquered whole States. The tax base is being eroded and our money being sent out of the country via foreign remittance to their home countries.

What was our trajectory had Kamala been could’ve won? Your rebuttal is weak, do better No one wanted which is why she lost by a lot. Because she lost doesn’t mean Trump is without criticism for breaking multiple campaign promises.

The gas definitely relates to the war I agree. He is not halfway through his term yet. I know you are smart enough to invest and you have probably done well. I also think you study to much on today and not long term on Iran. A man might have to do an odd job an tighten his belt. I guarantee you nobody is going without the new cell phones. Hunters got to have every modern convenience out there. 80,000 dollar boats are selling and so are 4000 dollar depth finders. Tighten that belt a little it will all work out. We will all be taken care of when the socialist take over

It sure as hell doesn’t seem like it Go back to my post a year ago and jmj agreed with most of them I met resistance from others for speaking out against trump I realized I was simply furthering the hardcore leftist agenda so I quit. I’m now referred to as a trumpian although I’m not. I never thought I’d see leftist talking points in a deer hunting forum from Alabama lol Yet here we are It’s much more to it than than Trump bad

We probably agree on way more than we disagree on You just can’t face the fact that you were had by Trump. I can Had he delivered on his campaign promises where would we be? He hasn’t and looks like he won’t

Part of the reason Trump was re-elected was to fix the problems the Democrats caused. Anyway... he has started more problems and made very little progress on fixing the problems the Democrats caused. He refuses to pursue the auto-pen which if he pursued it that would immediately reverse a lot of the problems the Biden admin caused.

The Big Beautiful Bill has already added $2T to the debt and caused baseline inflation to jump before the Iran mess got started. Its processes are still in play and are set to really generate a lot more inflation as its unfunded liabilities kick in. Many of those systems that were placed under Obama still have consequences. He made the biggest shift in our current times Bush 1 and 2 also did their damage which allowed Obama to transition. Trump 1 really upset the apple cart and at the time I don’t think he realized what was in place. Biden had to win to keep obamas transitioning going. They came hard and fast for change under Biden. Time was of the essence so open borders it was. Narratives were created to make all conservative racist homophobic and any other social stigma they could invent. History is strong indicator of where we’re heading This has been many times over. It’s nothing new and like history indicates the reaction is always the same.

I'm disappointed in where the country is and in Trump focusing so much on international stuff vs domestic. I'm retired and will be OK but I do wish my dollars went further. On the other hand, I know 100% that things could be much, much worse.
