I personally think that "Brand Name" sneakers have already had their day and that day is on the wane.
1. Fewer people care about making a statement with a "Brand."
2. There's a lot of athletic brands out there for people to care less about. Last time was in Academy i looked at some Nike's their high dollar one's and they looked like cheap crap I've got a pair of Sketchers, a pair of New Balance and I have some kind of off-brand barefoot style slip on sneakers I like so much I bought 3 pairs of them off Amazon. They were like $29 a pair. I didn't buy any of those based on the brand name. I bought all of them because they were comfortable and looked the least offensive to the eyes.
