The one I saw on the back of a Co op truck the other day looked large enough to take out a village

Master drone surveillance at 3000 feet and drone attack swarm sent in at treetop, or lower, level from multiple directions is impossible to defeat.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Drone attacks on infrastructure or just a bombardment in an event or even hitting a Walmart on Friday or Saturday with 30 or so with a few guys out of a cargo van would be catastrophic. I don’t know enough about capacity and capability but a dang drone can haul a big ass bait 1/4 mile to drop for a shark bait. Couple of those on a dam with same weight explosives seems good cause harm in short order

Yeah, and when we find out who launched these little toy drones, they will have hell rained down on them with big boy toys. The US has several types of UAS to use. Piss ant drones will ruin your day, but we can ruin a countries life forever. Ukraine's use of drones are neat for a little bit, but they won't sustain.

Thanks for watching it. I thought it was very well done too.

I try to keep up on military news and tech, especially with regards to US forces and I fear we are way behind Russia and China in drone technology, warfighting application and training our troops to use them effectively in combat and defend against them. I think we rely too much on expensive "super weapons" and are too overconfident in our perceived "superior technology."

I was being facetious, but I know if one was chasing me, I would certainly feel better with a shotgun with some #9 birdshot in it in my hands.

Ukraine and the US just did a mock battle recently, Ukraine absolutely slaughtered the US forces.

The problem is when it's YOUR day or your children's day that's getting ruined.

I read that just the other day. They "killed" every last one of our troops. We had to reconstitute "players" just to keep the training exercise going. It was a rude awakening.

I would say pound for pound Ukraine has the best military in the world right now.

The fact that ALL the supply chains to mfg these cheap FPV drones comes from China puts the US at a major disadvantage in the next conflict.

Two questions:
1. How is Ukraine recently participating in mock battles with us when they have the real thing going on?
2. If this were a real thing, would we really "show our hand" for the whole world to see?

They’re saying the wires leftover form the guide wore drones have created a spiderweb across the landscape. I know the hideance wires from tow missiles are tough at nails

This was from the Wall Street Journal, which I personally respect as a news organization...

The Setup: The simulated battles took place during the Combined Resolve exercises at a U.S. military training center in Hohenfels, Germany. Approximately 3,500 to 3,700 U.S. troops—primarily from the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division—were tasked with attacking a ground position.

The Defeat: The defensive position was reinforced by Ukrainian drone operators from the 412th "Nemesis" Regiment of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces. The battle-hardened Ukrainian pilots used reconnaissance drones to immediately spot the heavy U.S. M1A2 Abrams tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, which gave away their positions by kicking up heavy dust.

The "Re-Spawns": FPV (first-person view) and explosive-dropping drones eliminated the American heavy armor so quickly that exercise officials had to repeatedly "resurrect" or "re-spawn" the U.S. vehicles so the two-week drill could actually continue.

Right. That's what I just posted twice now.

Hopefully it has served as an extreme wakeup call for the United States forces from the Lance Corporals to the Generals.

That is also why there will not be a ground invasion of Iran.
