So we just got rid of it.
Yeah...even worse, the new fuel pump crapped the bed 12hrs after I got it back and had to have another put in it. To my shop's credit, they replaced the new-but-bad one no questions asked and even paid to have it towed from my house to their shop. I asked if it was common for brand new ones to be bad....he said you'd be shocked how many brand new ones (even OEM) are bad right out of the box or go bad almost immediately because even the OEM stuff is all from China.

The 2nd one they put in has been good for a year and a half, though....so hopefully it'll last a while. Admittedly I was always bad about running my truck until it was on E, which I now know is bad for them - can overheat a fuel pump. I now NEVER let it get below a 1/4 tank and usually try to fill up as soon as I get down to 1/2.
