If they were gonna be like that they could have waited until 27th. I would guess it will be 20th or better going forward

Correct me if I am wrong - in the past with turkey it seems like they could give a crap if it’s Saturday or not pre or post Chuck 😂

Ronfromramer just trying to kick Chuck again and he don’t know crap about Chuck! The dude is gone - let it go! It was good that we had somebody strong minded that was not going to listen to a bunch of greedy hunters like u and me!! He did a lot of good - now he long gone !
How bout when we could kill a buck a day - everybody was happy cause it appeased the masses/greedy

I not gonna talk about it anymore cause many will not listen anyway

But I am dang excited season opens early - and honestly - that from a greedy heart - cause I lov killing gobbs - and I man enough to call a spade a spade even if it singles out myself

lot of what he did actual would save some gobbs! The greedy acted like it would hurt population for their own gain! I knew he was helping but I still did not like it! But we do not need to be run off what a bunch of greedy hunters want because that was only self interest or selfish and not what best for the game itself

I am an average red neck nobody kind of like everybody here - but I will call out the truth even if I own the wrong side of it! Me not liking what Chuck did did not make me right - it just meant I was greedy

Everybody hated corn - I spent to much $$ on it too

None will ever admit it or they will undo what I say - dang corn implementation killed more coons in a few years that what’s been killed the last 20 years prior

I am approaching probably 80-90 catches in 3-4 years why?? They ate my dang corn! And that don’t include pile of fox - yote - possum etc!! Only reason I hav heard 100s say that the reason they got in to it too! I got into trapping and I started yote trapping because I was already out in it for killing coins! I never trap coons for corn - then I never become a trapper!

Wait - what did I just do! Oh yeah - I enormously improved my turkey and deer habitat! If he meant good with corn or not - thanks Chuck!! Made lot of biz people lot of $ too and some farmers

Wow, I gotta tell you that it doesn't mean that your opinions are "truth" just because you proclaim them to be so. And I gotta say that I kinda resent being called "greedy" because I wanted to preserve the system that made Alabama turkey hunting the best in the nation. If you want me to define that system for you, I will try:

The emphasis of it was always one based on the belief that wildlife would prosper when the state set seasons and limits to preserve the species, but individual landowners were given the primary responsibility of actually managing their land. Going back to Charles Kelley, he wanted us to have generous seasons and limits so that landowners and leaseholders would be willing to spend the time and money to produce wildlife because this state was going to give them a reasonable opportunity to hunt them. It worked very well and Alabama had huntable turkey populations long before most neighboring states. A 5 bird limit led to far more turkeys than states with a low limit. It's the principles of capitalism vs socialism. Seems to me nearly everything Chuck did was designed to destroy that system and implement one where the State controls everything.

I would write more but I am heading to the farm to spend my time and money trying to produce turkeys. I suspect that you are greedily doing something to make money. I hope you are going to give it all away instead of greedily spending it on yourself.
