Hit a little bump in the road yesterday. Shep woke up with a fever so we called Children’s who instructed us to take him to our local ER for evaluation. Took him to Baptist East in Montgomery (big mistake) where we sat from noon until midnight, not even joking, just to have him transferred to Childrens in Bham via ambulance anyway. Basically just treating it like he has a bug and giving him fluids/monitoring his temp. Mainly needed to make sure he didn’t have some sort of infection going on. I really wish we had driven straight to Bham from the get go but lesson learned. I’ll have been up for 24hrs here in about 45 mins
