I am pretty sure Winchester quit producing the 7mm STW ammo a long while back. It is going to be extremely hard to find any Winchester 7mm STW. Best bet for factory ammo is Nosler or Hornady Precision Hunter on MidWay USA or Natchez Supply. For along time it was extremely hard to find any 7mm STW ammo in stock anywhere online but it has started to become available again lately. I have a Customer Rem Model 700 7mm STW and I have a few boxes in reserve but was starting to get frustrated not being able to find any to resupply. I am glad they are making factory 7mm STW ammo available again.

That was 15 yrs ago. Its a custom gun with a tight throat. Tried some Federal Premium in it on time and case got stuck. Had to get a gunsmith to get it out. Thanks!

The 28 Nosler and 7 PRC have pushed the 7 STW to the waste basket of cartridges.
If you have one, you need to load your own.

If you have one, you need to load your own. Hell i got a 28 Nosler & 7 prc and still grab my stw or warbird 😆 I really need to dump that Nosler though, probably keep the prc cause it's way shorter and lighter than my Sako 75 for sure

If you have one, you need to load your own. I dont disagree on reloading. I wouldn't say waste basket though.. 7 STW shoots lighter and faster, 7 prc heavier and fast enough. 500 yds+ PRC retains more energy.

The problem with the STW is that factory ammo never lived up to the promise of Layne Simpsons wildcat loads he published in Shooting Times. SAAMI pressure rated loads had far less velocity than Laynes. Ive got all the parts together for a 7-300 PRC build, except a chamber reamer. Ordered that from Manson reamers last week so hopefully it won't be too long.

I just ain't never cared for the Nolser m48 Liberty i have it's kinda bulky and there's no replacement stock out there (wasn't last time i looked) the 7 prc is nice i kilt a buck deer with it on my first sit 😁

8mm was easy to get and resize until 7 mm got more plentiful.

Start reloading and turn the case necks to fit the throat, or 2. Have a gunsmith open the throat, or 3. Sell the rifle and buy a 7 PRC
